🌱 Care Instructions
Watering: Keep evenly moist but never soggy. Allow the top 2–3 cm of soil to dry between waterings. Water less in cooler months or lower light. Consistency helps prevent leaf drop and crisp edges.
Light: Bright, indirect light is ideal. Morning sun is fine; avoid harsh midday sun that can scorch leaves.
Humidity: Prefers higher humidity. Mist lightly, use a pebble tray/humidifier, or cluster with other plants—especially in heated or air-conditioned rooms.
Soil: Rich, well-draining indoor mix (potting soil with perlite/pumice). Slightly acidic substrate suits Coffea well. Ensure a drainage hole.
Fertilizing: Feed monthly in spring/summer with a balanced liquid fertilizer at half strength. Reduce in fall/winter.
Pruning: Tip-prune to encourage branching and a fuller crown. Remove crossing or weak shoots for an airy, layered shape.
Support: Generally self-supporting. Stake lightly only after repotting or if stems lean in low light.
⚠️ Warning
Toxicity: Contains caffeine compounds; mildly toxic if ingested by pets. Keep out of reach.
Temperature: Ideal 18–24 °C; avoid drafts and temperatures below 12 °C.
Pests: Check for spider mites and mealybugs, especially on new growth. Wipe leaves regularly; treat early if needed.
Leaf care: Dust monthly with a soft, damp cloth. Browning tips often signal low humidity or irregular watering—adjust routine.
