🌱 Care Instructions
Watering. Keep slightly moist—let the top 2–3 cm of soil dry between waterings. Water thoroughly, then drain fully; avoid waterlogging. Reduce frequency in winter or lower light. Consistency prevents leaf drop.
Light. Very bright, indirect to gentle direct light. Aim for several hours of morning or late-afternoon sun. Insufficient light leads to leggy growth and fewer blooms/fruit.
Humidity. Average home humidity is fine with good airflow. In very dry rooms, light misting helps during bloom. Avoid prolonged wet foliage at night.
Soil. Fast-draining citrus or gritty indoor mix (potting soil + perlite/pumice; slightly acidic). Always use a pot with a drainage hole.
Fertilizing. Feed with a citrus fertilizer during spring–summer: every 2–4 weeks at label rate (micronutrients like iron/magnesium support lush leaves and fruiting). Reduce in fall/winter.
Pruning. Lightly shape after fruiting. Remove crossing or weak shoots, tip-prune to encourage branching, and maintain an airy canopy for light penetration.
Support. Young stems may benefit from a discreet stake and soft ties until fully woody, especially after a prune or repot.
⚠️ Warning
Toxicity:Fruit is edible; however, leaves, oils, and peels can irritate pets. Keep out of reach; supervise curious animals.
Temperature: Ideal 18–27 °C. Avoid drafts and temps below 10 °C. A cooler night range (12–15 °C) in winter can encourage flowering.
Pests: Check routinely for scale, aphids, and spider mites, especially on tender growth. Wipe leaves, rinse gently, and treat early with insecticidal soap or neem.
Leaf care: Dust leaves monthly. Yellowing often signals watering or nutrient imbalance; review drainage and feeding. Leaf drop can follow sudden changes—stabilize light and watering.
