🌱 Care Instructions
Watering: Soak thoroughly about once a week: submerge the pot in room-temperature water for 10–15 minutes, let excess drain fully. Water less in cooler months. Do not leave water in the crown (where leaves meet) to avoid rot.
Light: Bright, indirect light. A sheer-curtained window is ideal. Avoid harsh midday sun, which can scorch leaves.
Humidity: Prefers higher humidity. Use a pebble tray or humidifier, or cluster with other plants to raise ambient moisture.
Soil: Pot in orchid bark (not standard potting soil) for airflow around roots. Use a container with drainage.
Fertilizing: “Weakly, weekly” in bloom season (diluted balanced fertilizer), or every 2 weeks at half strength. Reduce in fall/winter.
Pruning: After flowers fade, trim the spike just above a visible node to encourage a side shoot, or cut to the base for a full rest before a fresh spike.
Support: Clip spikes to a discreet stake for a clean arc and stable display.
⚠️ Warning
Toxicity: Generally non-toxic; avoid ingestion.
Temperature: Ideal 18–29 °C; protect from drafts and sudden temperature swings.
Pests: Check for mealybugs and scale on leaves and spike nodes. Wipe with a damp cloth; treat early if needed.
Leaf care: Dust leaves monthly. If tips yellow or wrinkle, review watering and light. Use room-temperature, low-mineral water where possible.
